Compass Federal Credit Union Awards Scholarships Totaling $14,000 to Members

OSWEGO, NY (June 10, 2024) – Compass Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the recipients of this year’s Scholarship Awards, presenting $14,000 to nine deserving members.

G. Ray Bodley High School Senior, Zoey Kerr, and Mexico High School Senior, Thi Huynh, were each awarded $4,000 scholarships.

Kerr will be attending either RIT or RPI in the fall and will major in biomedical engineering.  Huynh is undecided as to where she will attend, but plans to major in psychology.

Beatrice Rastley, who will soon attend the College of the Holy Cross majoring in economics and international relations, was awarded this year’s $2,000 scholarship.  Rastley will graduate from Oswego High School.

Four more graduating seniors also earned $500 scholarships including Ian MacKenzie, Ethan Becker, Duncan Baker and Cam Padalino.

MacKenzie, an Oswego High School senior, will attend Binghamton University in the fall, majoring in biology.  Mexico High School senior, Becker, will major in physics education at SUNY Geneseo.  Baker, an Oswego High School senior, plans to attend SUNY Oswego, majoring in risk management and insurance.  C.W. Baker High School graduate, Padalino, will study civil engineering technology at RIT.

Justin Ryan and Andrew Mullen were selected as Continuing Education Scholarship recipients, each receiving $1,000.

Ryan attends Cayuga Community College, studying human services, while Mullen attends SUNY Oswego, majoring in studio art.
