OSWEGO, NY (March 26, 2024) – Compass Federal Credit Union’s 58th Annual Meeting will take place on Thursday, May 2nd at Compass Federal Credit Union’s Fulton branch, located at 208 North Second St., beginning at 6 p.m.
This year’s Annual Meeting will once again include an update on the state of the credit union from the Compass Board and management and is open to all Compass membership to attend.
During this meeting, the credit union’s three Board vacancies will officially be filled.
Three credit union members applied for the three vacant seats on the Board meaning that there will be no membership vote required. Compass FCU Board Secretary, Angela Galvin, will file the only required vote for each nominee. No nominations from the floor will be accepted at the upcoming Annual Meeting.
Nominees for the Board include incumbents Darcy Antonucci and Joanne Gardner, as well as first time nominee, Sandra Barbaro.
Darcy Antonucci currently sits as Vice President of the Board of Directors for Compass and has been on the Board since 2017. Currently employed as the Comptroller for the Broadwell Hospitality Group, Antonucci works as the primary oversight of both the financial and human resources departments.
Joanne Gardner has served on the Compass Board of Directors since 2010, shortly after the Oswego Hospital Credit Union merged with Compass. Joanne previously served as the President of the Oswego Hospital Credit Union for 20 years and was instrumental in the merger. Retired from Oswego Health after 38 years of service, Gardner remains active on many of the same committees she was part of during her long tenure with Oswego Health.
First time nominee, Sandra Barbaro, is a former elementary school principal within the Mahopac Central School District. Barbaro is now retired and looks forwards to being a contributing member of the Compass Board, focusing on a commitment to quality community service. Since retirement, Barbaro has become a member of Fulton’s Church of the Holy Trinity Parish Council, as well as a volunteer tutor for Literacy Volunteers of Oswego.
